BELGRAVIA & CO., an international and independent M&A and Corporate Finance advisory firm with offices in Cologne and New York City, exclusively advised Artega GmbH (“Artega“, www.artega.de/en/), on its complete takeover of Italian e-car producer Tecno Meccanica Imola S.p.A. („TMI“, www.tazzari-zero.com/en/). The transaction scope includes the technological know-how, patents and production rights for the models Zero EM 2 Space, Zero City, Zero Junior as well as the joint venture with Swiss Micro Mobility Systems AG (www.micro-mobility.com) for the model “Microlino”.
The transaction enables Artega to expand its already existing product portfolio of electrified city vehicles.
The closing of the transaction took place in November 2018. The transfer of the production from Imola (Italy) to Delbrück (Germany) is expected to be completed by Christmas 2018. As of January 2019, Artega will produce the “Microlino” model in Delbrück. Marketing and sales of the battery powered city vehicles will be effected by Micro Mobility AG, Küsnacht (Switzerland), whilst the continuous development of the vehicle will be effected by Artega. There are more than 10,000 preorders for the Microlino.
Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
